As many Americans’ eyes have been glued to the NBA Finals here in the US, one could be forgiven for missing one of the biggest soccer tournaments in the world taking place all this month in Poland and Ukraine. The 2012 UEFA European Football Championships, better known as the Euro 2012, brings together the top 16 national teams in Europe to determine a champion.
Obviously, there are tons of great goals and plays throughout the tournament, but this free-kick by Italian player Andrea Prilo is one of the most beautiful we’ve ever seen.
The Italian team was facing group leader Croatia and this goal evened the score for Italy, which ended the match 1-1.
